I am wondering if there was a head unit that i could get with a cd player that will fit nicely into the hole that the original radio used to be in. I am also wondering if there is one that looks original but still has a CD player.

the only way to get one that looks somewhat original and will fit into the same hole would be to get a radio with a CD changer control and a CD changer. Or you could get a newer radio trim plate that has the bigger opening and the you could put in an in-dash cd player. You could even put in a delco CD player if you really wanted a factory look.

Also if your factory radio is still working you can get an add on cd changer that would work with your factory radio.

Just to add... J.C. Whitneys, The El Camino Store and EC Parts all sell units that replace the factory two knob units with two knob units that have CD Changer controlls built in and are made to look somewhat factory, some are remote controlled even.

So you have lots of choices.
