Randy, i'm sure since you are named Randy and from Lincoln that you are the same one i have bought/sold parts to/from on the 67-72 truck forums.
Anyway i dont hink you will find what you are looking for because i dont think they ever made a 229 that was not computer controlled. get one from a 75-77 Chevy straight six that was NON-computer and swap all the guts into your 229 housing. there will be anarea of the distributor that has a hole in it now where the old puter wires came out so be sure to make a way to close that hole up to keep debris out, I did that for a 4.3 and worked great for my test stand. i have sold three 4.3 engines because i could let people hear them run on my test stand. good luck, DAVE .
