I'm looking for a donut spare for my 5th Gen., the original just takes up too much room in the box. I have a Rallye wheel with new tire and I'm willing to swap it for the donut. So, if you have, or know of, an unused donut spare in perfect condition that will fit the Elky and you want a Rallye whheel then let's talk. I'll pay for shipping the Rallye to you and you pay to ship the donut to me... fair?

Leo, I believe there was a donut wheel in a junked 79 by me, will that work?

Have you ever seen the space saving spare from a IROC Camaro/GTA Trans Am...these are very unique. I occasionally see them for sale on Ebay (currently 2) http://motors.search.ebay.com/GTA-trans-am-spare_Parts-Accessories_W0QQcatrefZC6QQfromZR4QQsacatZ6028 Wouldn't that look better in the smugglers box instead of one of those butt awful ugly plain spacesaving spares?

Those two on ebay are a mess, besides, inside the box the tire won't be seen except by the occasional car show judge who wants to see that there is a spare. Of course, I want it to be usable, just in case.

dirtydan... I assume it will fit, but I want to be sure it is in perfect condition, no rot or rust.

Leo, have you tried looking for one at a salvage yard? You might buy one cheaper there than it would cost you to ship one in.

I bought one for my Elky at the yard for $5.00!

They have so many of these with very little luck selling them that they practically give them away.

At least thats what the guy at the yard here told me. Don't know about your area but its worth a shot if you know of a salvage yard close by.

Seems nobody local has a good one, the few I found are all old and hard. I'm still looking though.
