I've been working on an 80 SS for a while now and I am customizing it here and there. I've been looking for several pieces to add to it to really give it a custom look. Anyway, I ran up on a couple of places, some here could be aware of and some may not be, that people here could find useful.

This place has some nice mirrors and lots of other stuff but I was looking for mirrors here is the link check these out.

I was also looking for some bracketing for the engine. I had settled it in my head that I would go with March but I found this place called "Zoops" that has some really nice bracketing and its different. So in case anyone else in interested here is that link:

I know some people have said they use some type of wax called Zoops, looks like this is the spot for that but they have lots of other things for vehicles.

I've settled on one of two style custom mirrors, any opinions here they are:

1.) With Turn Signal

or

2.) Teardrop, I really like this one

Which should I go with?

The 2nd, the one with the turnsignal inside the mirror is to merc/bmw ish....i never liked blinkers in the mirrors.

I like #1, but the over all mirror height at 2 3/4" seems a tad small to me...maybe it's just old age and my deminishing sight!

I definitely lean toward #2. I just can't quite picture a turn-signal-in-mirror design ever looking quite right on an Elky.

I'm going with #2 as well. #1 with the turn signal looks to Euro carish.

Well i kinda like #1 myself. think thats a good way to let oncoming traffic know your intentions.. anything to reduce your risk of an accident is a good thing.

I think i'd go with number 1, i like the signals in the mirrors.

The mirrors that were on the truck were the sport mirrors. They are not all that good as far as beng able to see properly with them. I was wanting something that gets away from the body and gives a little better picture of the road and traffic. I am spoiled by the huge mirrors on my 93 Pickup and when I get in my Elky I have no good view.

I think these look good on the Vetts, well they are something like the ones on the Vetts but not exactly.

I think #2 also. I do like the advantage of the signal up front but I really will not be driving it on the street often enough for that to be a big player.

I guess my questions would be, are either of these styles of mirrors remotely operated mirrors? Do you have remotely operated mirrors now? If so why would you replace them?
