If the 305 rad is in good shape, it will work with the 350. A 3 row rad is better than a 2 (especially if your installing a stall speed torque converter, then you might want to consider a trans cooler too). If you need/want/just can't live without an aluminum rad, look for one in 3rd gen (82-92) F-bodys at the boneyard, they'll fit, mine was $40 bucks and it was like brand new.

I still have the stock radiator. Summit has Be Cool and Griffin for 5th generation Elkys. $499 up for the Be Cool and $436 for the Griffin. I would check eBay to see what you can find.

I don't think there was any difference in the 305 verses the 350 radiator but I am operating from memory on that point.

Those are ridiculous prices...go to Auto Zone...they sell a brand (can't remember the name but it begins with an 'M') for less then half that. Radiators are measured by height and width and how many rows they have.

I am using the radiator from a 88 Camaro IROC - Z. I bought a wreck complete with engine (tpi) and 700 R4 trans. It turned out to be a good move because I used a lot of stuff from the Camaro, namely the radiator and dual electric fans. The upper fan bracket required some new holes and the lower required a few shims, but other than that, things swapped OK.

It did have the big sway bar, unfortunately it was damaged beyond use.

The brand is Modine. I got one used off thirgen.org, and used the elec. fan off a '91 Camaro, and a $36 relay from Summit.

Thanks CHVYPWR that's the brand...my mind isn't as sharp as it used to be. I also got one out of an F-body. Welcome back! :D
