Alright, I'm looking for the following vehicles:

El Camino (Any year, any condition, my favorite car)
Volkswagon Bus (any condition)
'69 Camaro (any condition)
'69 Mustang (any condition)

I need ones with prices below $1,000 (US). This will be my first car, as I will be getting either my hardship license or my driver's license within the next two years. I'm currently saving cash for cars, as I don't want to make payments. Please don't tell me about souped up cars, because they're way out of my price range (I recently saw a 25,000$ El Camino...sheesh). If you have any of the cars I mentioned, please, PLEASE E-Mail me at RainerGamer1423@cs.com.

Also, as you can see, I love old cars. For the past year I've been looking for cheap ones, but apparently people like to charge big bucks for their crappy cars. I don't care if the car's a fixer-upper, in good shape, horrible shape, whatever. Just so long as it runs nicely, and isn't torn up on the outside/inside...

Also, could someone hook me up with a site for amps/stereo systems for cars? I don't trust the pawn shop, and I know barely anything about cars...except that I want an El Camino pretty badly. I should have $1,000 within the next few months. Let's all hope :)

I'd say keep your eyes on ebay to find a camino, i saw a '79 on there a couple of days ago bid was only 900 with less than a day left.

Yeah, I was watching Ebay for awhile, but most of the prices are $4,000, and the one $500 that I placed a bid on...well, it jumped to $5,000 in the last 5 minutes.

I'd much rather buy one than bid on one, where I get a sure chance of getting it. 8-)

you may want to find a local car sales book like in Indiana we have Wheels&Deals and Indiana Auto&RV usually you find some in there pretty resonably priced i've seen what appears to be decent 5th Gen. elky's in there all the time for less than 2 grand. Like CHVYPWR said try autotrader.com they has a pretty good website and you can fin just about anything you want there.

Ah, cool. I live in Whitehouse, which is like right next to Tyler. Houston is within my range, but the thing is, I have to wait awhile till I buy the car. How long do you think he would hold the camino? is anyone gunning for the buy? if not, I can wait

Found my 84 Elky (with 83K miles) on line in the Auto Trader. Paid $1900, and I drive it everyday while I hunt for the parts I need to turn it into a mutant.
