Longroof79 01-26-2006, 05:40 PM Thanks man! I've seen those. They are kind of cool looking, but what I'm looking for is the actual tailight assemblies with amber, white, and red lenses. Not to eliminate the white back up lenses.
Chances are I probably can't find them here in the states, and would have to have some of the European guys keep an eye out for them.
I know they make them (or made them).

ElDawgg 01-27-2006, 07:49 AM Longroof, do you have a picture of the european lights? I've never seen them and now I'm curious! :)
Longroof79 01-07-2007, 06:43 PM Dawgg,
I don't have a close up, but this was sent to me from a guy in Europe. I think he's also a member of this forum.
He was actually looking out for a set for me.

I know it's small, but you get the general idea.

Andreas 01-08-2007, 05:21 AM Hi
If you let me know what model and year that wagon is made I can call the local gm and other dealers in Sweden and see if they have any
Longroof79 01-08-2007, 07:52 AM Hi Andreas,
I'm a friend of Mikael Bjarneskans from Stockholm. I'm sure he had mentioned you to me before. My wagon is a '79, so any years from '79-up would work.
Mikael had been trying locate a set for me, unsuccessfully.
Thanks Andreas. If you happen to locate any, you can let Mikael know and he could contact me... We're in constant contact.
Jack :)
Andreas 01-08-2007, 08:25 AM I´ll have a look around and make som calls to see if I can find some for you.
Andreas
Longroof79 01-08-2007, 09:40 AM Thanks Andreas,
Even if you are able to find part #'s, that might help. I have a friend that works at a GM dealership as a partsman.
Chances are these lenses are unavailable in the states.
I think Mikael had bought your 200-4R trans afew years ago. That's if you're the same Andreas.

Andreas 01-08-2007, 10:26 AM No I'm not that Andreas ..sorry
I´m a newby and have just got my first elky :D
Longroof79 01-08-2007, 11:33 AM So I guess you don't know Mikael then? Although you might...
If you run across a set of lenses, let me know. They don't have to be NOS. They could be decent used lenses..or if you are able to find the part #'s, that would be cool, too.
What year Elky do you have, and how's it been finding parts over there?
Skoal,
Jack
Andreas 01-08-2007, 02:25 PM I have a 1986 Elky and as far as finding parts gob’s I get all the parts on your side of the puddle and then import them to Sweden. Buying stuff in Sweden it’s so expensive; a long block from a Swedish speed shop would costs as much as a turn key crate engine with shipping and customs would cost me if I buy it in the USA.
So I just import all the stuff I need
Right now my Elky is in Costa Rica to go through a total renovation so I’m trying to find all the parts (crate 350, 700r4, suspension, rims, gauges and so on) I need and then get them shipped to California and then ship the container to Cost Rica.
Longroof79 01-08-2007, 03:49 PM Andreas,
My friend Mike also buys alot of parts on this side of the pond. He had scored a few engines there, but also said that parts are so expensive.
He actually thought about buying a bunch of engines here, getting a container and shipping them back to Sweden.
'86 Elky is almost the last of the series. Did you find the car in Costa Rica, or was it shipped there? That's an expensive endeavor just shipping parts back and forth from here to Costa Rica.
I'll have to hook you up with my friend Mikael. He's a good guy, and very knowledgeable with Chevy engines. He has a '79 Malibu that he had started a frame off restoration on , but he gets involved in other projects which takes him away from the Malibu. He built a nice 383 stroker for it and later sold it...he neededthe money at the time.
I can give you his e-mail address if you'd like. He's sent me pics from car shows in Sweden, you would think you're in the US. Alot of American muscle over there.
