The show is held at historic Fort Wellington which is right along the St Lawrence Seaway on the eastern edge of Prescott. Tours are open during the show if you would like to visit the fort also. Great park, food vendors on site and always something to see out on the river. For now they have agreed to have a separate El Camino class with all years grouped together, but if we could give them a better idea of who might be attending and the year of your cars they may split it into different classes if that's your preference. The guys and gals who run the show are very co-operative.
If you are coming from Syracuse it's about a 2.5 hr drive, Montreal less than 2 hours, Ottawa an hour and Toronto is about 3 hours. Even from Burlington, Vermont is only about 2.5 hours. There are 3 Canada/USA border crossings all of which are unders 30 minutes from the show itself. If you want to make a weekend of it theres the boat cruise of the 1000 Islands, a Casino in Gananoque about 30 minutes away, a cruise night in Kingston on the Friday night and another in Brockville on the Saturday night. If your a stock car fan the Brockville Speedway also run's on Saturday night. There are ample motels and restaurants in the area.
Perhaps this could be a start to bring the El Camino owners from part of Region 22 together along with the upstate NY members.
Your feedback is needed if we are to make this a successful get together
