Here is my review of the Dynomax Headers 86121 for the 78-87 Chevrolet El Camino.
Car: 1979 Chevrolet El Camino
Motor: GM Performance Parts ZZ3 345 H.P. Crate Motor with "D" shaped exhaust ports
Transmission: 200 4R
Installation: The headers went in surprisingly well. The Passenger side Header went in from the bottom very easily and cleared everything. No denting or dimpling necessary. The driver's side header required that the oil filter be removed, the firewall needed to be banged a little where the metals join together, and the shift linkage rod needed to be bent to clear one of the header tubes. The header went in from the bottom as well. Other than that the header went up into place and clear everything else.
Performance: Hard to say because I installed true dual exhaust at the same time. There is a difference but I cannot say it was the headers or it was the exhaust. They both complement each other.
Gaskets: I used Fel-Pro Header Gasket 1470
Overall I am happy with this product.
