IT SEEMS LIKE EVERYTIME I GET ONE THING DONE AND WORKING FINE THEN HERE COMES ANOTHER FRICKIN PROBLEM!!!! I'M REALLY PISSED.....

I JUST GOT MY CAR OUT OF THE SHOP THURSDAY,,,, to start i had a vacuum leak very bad; barely made it home.... fixed it last night!!!!!

I pulled my dipstick today it was a quart low,, I fill it up... put it gear and drove it down the street... IT FELT LIKE I WAS PULLIN A BOAT!!!

Pulls very hard, nothing like it did when i initially installed it.....

The shop was closed but i left a very LOUD, LONG, voicemail ...

Here's my frickin cost just in the tranny...

Bench rebuild: $480.37

Stop pulling and starting leaking 1 wk later.

$293.56 R & R Transmission, install front seal, pump bushing, pump gears, (They said the converter wasn't engaged when i installed tranny, but i drove it no problem for a week, until it started leaking from the cable, and stopped moving).

When i paid for the above, they told me i was gonna need new line(i admit mine were weak). I drove around the block and had to bring it right back because the lines busted......

Install complete cooling lines $100: 2 brass unions, 2 steel lines, detent cable $34, R&R cable $30.00 , total $176.08

Grand Total: $950.01

I'M CALLIN HE better business bureau monday after I talk with my boss, I might get him to portray an Atty.

I want my money back,, If I can't get all of it, i want atleast 2/3rd of it...

I'm FRICKIN PISSED!!!

OH YEAH, THEY SUPPOSEDLY TEST DROVE IT WHEN THEY WERE DONE!!!!

I assume (knowing full well what that word means. . . 8O ) you took it to a reputable shop? If so, have you tried talking to them? Explaining your side of how you see the situation?

Sometimes (and I AM NOT saying you aren't justified) in the heat of battle everything doesn't come out the correct way. I know I'm sure as heck guilty of this. . . . . .

If you mean reputable in terms of "Major Network" then no...

I found them in the yellow book they're listed as Christian owned and operated business and they were very friendly on the phone, etc. been in business for like 10 yrs.

As a christian myself (a very upset one now), I hope we can come to some conclusion however, it will not include me going back into my pocket...

Did i mention they burned up my new speedometer cable by laying it on the exhaust pipe???

And the guy had to order a new tranny cable from the dealership; he told me it was $20 and he wouldn't charge me to put it on... Got the bill and he charged $38 for the cable, $30 labor....

I mean no disrespect, but just because someone uses the guise of Christianity to promote thier bussiness dosn't make them any better at providing a service than a hell raising heathan!!!

In fact, I think bringing religion, especially Cristianity, into a bussiness ad likens to having money changers in the temple, not a good thing. Don't missunderstand, I am a believer but I will tend to distrust anyone who has to make an issue of religion to sell services, but that's just MY opinion.

So about the tranny, give them a chance to make it right or give you a reason why they won't, and go from there.

Good luck!

I think you have hit the nail squarely on the head BJ. I feel exactly the same way. I'm also a believer, but what does that have to do with business?

I definitely think you have cause here. Check with the BBB, see if there have been previous complaints. Talk with them, and if you still aren't satisfied with the reasons/excuses - - go the small claims route. I've had to do this, (with a dry cleaning establishment) and it did come out in my favor. Can't hurt, and maybe - the guy will get the message, that when you quote someone something - you have to stick with it, or get approval to proceed.

Let us know how this turns out.

Thanks guys, I'm a believer as well and have been for the past 20yrs....

I actually went to this shop about 5 yrs ago with another vehicle, they were EXTREMELY friendly, they gave me good advice on my car, thats what made me go back this time...

I'm beginning to wonder if they bought the business and kept the theme to draw in people like me....

Tomorrow will tell the story.....stay tuned....
