This weekend I finally got my airbags installed. They were from Airlift, but I purchased them from Hotchkis performance suspension. They fit snuggly inside the 1" lowered Hotchkis performance springs. When I filled them only with 20psi they seemed to make the springs stiffer and in turn seemed to give me more traction as well as the bed didn't seem to "float". I had a much smoother ride going through the mountain road of the 166 and there seemed to be a slight tilt to the front. I am very pleased with this mod. 8)

That's good to know as I am preparing to rebuild the suspension on my '79 and will be using Airlift bags.

8) Did you do individual air lines? If not the tilt in the front you feel is actually body roll caused by air transfer from one side to the other. If you did use separate lines forget this post! :P

And another reason for having separate air lines is on a drag strip launch having more air in the right bag will make for a much better hook-up.

I have dual lines but I did a couple modifications to make it act as a single with an electronic check valve and flip of a switch. I do like versatility!
