ok so i just rebuilt a 305 and put it into my 86, and was wondering what the stock cam in it is, and a better choice, i would like to get a better one but dont know what to look for....thanks

I'm not sure what cam comes in a 305. Probably small x weak!
Take a look at the "Summit" brand cams in the Summit Racing catalog.
If you have stock ext mainfolds, go with the K1101 kit, cam and lifters.
With intake, carb, headers, the K1102 would work. K1103 I'd say is too big for a street 305
