Well as ID states, once bitten, your hooked! I am in process of getting another Elky after having to sell my 86 ss due to no storage and the rough New England winter...that was back in 1993! it hated the snow with the posi
Seems now with all the other toys i have it was time to get another Elky and enjoy the ride and not just be a daily driver.

I hope with all of the knowledge of the members i shall get this one in shape and crusing in style this spring! only has one small cancer spot on RT quarter(lower). since it is not original paint i think when patched a subtle 2nd color will be added. when i get car, most likey next week i will take and post pic's and go from there. idea's for upgrades and repairs would be great! I am active on several other forum's with my Denali truck which i think will one day be a collector as well.

Hope to be able to share info or insight when i can, i was in automotive electronic's for many years, audio, security etc and ya the fun of chasing down shorts and fun stuff like that.

Welcome, Dave! This is the best Elky site ever and I have learned a lot from others here at ECC.

I look forward to seeing you new Elky in the Member's gallery. 8-)

Welcome to the best place on the 'net for everything El Camino Dave. I see your from New Enlgand. Where abouts? I have a New England regional email list that I send out car show, cruise info, etc. to the members. Send me an email at: jlevitan@holycross.edu and I'll add your name to it. During the car show season, we try and hit a few shows as a car club. It has worked out pretty good and we would welcome all new members to attend.

Again, welcome and feel free to post some pictures of your new to you Elco. 8-)

I have been browsing the site for a week or two and there is alot of info avalible. I am in Massachusetts, on the south shore near Plymouth more or less. Not sure it's ready for a show, its missing the front air dam, seats have no holes, but the buckets are worn smooth of the velor, a small spot of rust RT quarter and some fool in the 80's put a pop-up sun roof in it  !! looks and runs great, sounds wonderful.... nice low rumble from the duals.. center console lid needs replacing... should i go on? and i haven't even actually nit picked it yet! once i "own" it and have it here i am sure i will find more "to do list" things

Nothing ventured, nothing gained right.... ok someone agree with me here! thanks for the welcome and once i have her, i will take pic's to post :)

If your Elky is like my Elky, Dave, you had better start that list on a fresh pad of paper!

Sometimes, it's a love/hate relationship between me and the Elky but I keep plugging away at the problems. :-D
