We need to have a lot of NE members reserve this date for a great show. especially since we will defending our "Best Club" award from last year! This is a very well run event, and convenient to many major highways near the MA-NH border. See you there!

Awesome job on the flyer Michelle. I'll be emailing it out to all the regional members this morning. Thanks again for all your hard work.

**** Remember to SPELL OUT "National El Camino Owners Association" on the pre-reg! ********* ECC acroynm is very close to the host club of East Coast Camero Club (ECCC).

This space is for the host club use only. Please leave blank. For the color of your Elco, I would just put what it is now.

Very true John. Lets have even more members show up this year. Mark your calenders early.

Correction....."The car WILL be done by then". 8) And we can cruise up there at the same time. Gotta think positive.

I think I registered two or three times. It's that Elco-Alzheimer’s gene kicking in..... :-( But at least I put it on my calender, so I'll be there. 8)

Okay, So who all's going? It's a week away.

I know Ernie, Jay, Gary(?), John Harris, and Caspiantiger.

I'm planning to go, weather permitting.

Who else?

Ernie, do you still have the day off? Want to meet somewhere and follow each other up? (you can follow me, until I run out of gas :poke: )

Last year, didn't everyone meet somewhere near the show for breakfast or something and drive in together like a Nimitz Class Carrier Battlegroup? Is that the plan this year as well? If so, when and where?

Thanks.

Looking forward to meeting the more Northeren Elky brotheren and experiencing a well run car show (for a change).

Mike

well, im not 100% sure if i will be able to come this year. College is starting on tuesday and i dont know if i will have time. I hope i do. Last year we all met up at a burger king that was about 5 or 10 min from the show i think. If i time later ill try to mapquest it again, unless you still have it saved somewhere jay.

Sounds good Mike. Don't worry, I'll let you make a pit stop on the way up. I've got to look at my rear brakes first though. The LR was making a clicking sound when I drove home from the Fatima car show. I haven't had a chance to look at the brake since I parked the Elky in the garage after the show but I hope to get to it tomorrow.

Glad to see that "WE" are beginning to talk about this show - again.

I live about an hour and a half from Nashua --- if I leave at 7 will I be the last one there? ( I know Ernie will be on the road at 5)

Any plans for an early breakfast (donut) ? I guess I could leave at 6 !

let's hear from y'all

Ha Ha Ha. Maybe Jay...but not me. I was planning on getting there around 10-ish. For me it's a two and a half hour drive, so I'd like to get on the road by 7:30 (or so). How about you Mike?

However, if WE can all agree on a time to drive into the show as a club I'll try to be accommodating and leave earlier.

Well you know how Dian likes to get to shows early and loves to see the sun rise..... :)

Last year a few of us met at the Burger King close to the corner of Spit Brook Rd and Daniel Webster Hwy. around 07:15 and left to drive to the car show at 07:40. This Burger King is located off Exit 1 of Rt.3. This seems to be located by the Royal Ridge Plaza. You can mapquest "232 Daniel Webster Hwy, Nashua, NH.". Please let me know if you will be meeting us, so we don't miss each other.

Dian and I will be leaving the Worcester area at 06:00 and heading on Rt. 290 East to Rt. 495 North, to Rt. 3 North. If anyone would like to drive up with us around this time, please let me know.

OOOHHHH NO ! !

I have been looking forward to this show since before the spring pre-registered early and got my raflle ticket for the 42" Plasma...

BUT

el Bandido has been temporarily incarcerated ! !

you see the garage is on the backside of the property and the addition we are putting on the house is between the garage and the long road up to the street

well yesterday they excavated for the foundation - and sure enough the excees soil is set in piles that will not allow el Bandido to escape

I was so looking forward to seeing all of you and being part of the BEST CLUB Celebration

just wanted to let you know that I will be thinking of you all...

I am planning to get to the Chevelcamino Show in Sturbridge - hope to see many of you then

All the Best - to the BEST CLUB

Tom

PS: my raffle number is 348 - when they call it out be sure to let them know that a National El Camino Owners Assoc member IS the WINNER.

Hey All, 1st, Tom that's gotta suck. I know, fire that baby up, and gas on it like never before, hit that first dirt pile doing 80 and you should be able to clear the rest. Well, all you guys that know my situation know this show is just a tad out of my reach. But I'll be there in spirit. Hope the weather is good and that you folks defend the title. Have a great time guys..... ps. If someone can post a few pics that would be cool.

Tom,

Just put some extra hydraulic fluid in it, jack 'er up to the roof top and straddle the piles. Sorry about the block-in. Was so looking forward to seeing my car's reflection in all your car's chrome (again).

Would love to meet/greet over a "Five Star BK Breakfast", but meeting in NH at 7:15 AM's kinda early for this old snail. Then again, I was always wondering how my community would react to hearing my 454, headers and Flowmasters at 5AM on a Sunday morning. Can't wait to impress them.

Any rain there in the weather forecast Michelle?

Ernie, Jay and Dian are raising this "arrival time bar" kinda high. (The nerve of those two). You got any preference on departure time?

Still haven't heard of many people going. Sounds like 4 or 5 at the moment. (With 5 cars split into 2 classes, maybe I'll place :P ) Jay. You get any replies/confirmations to your E-mail from folks that aren't posted here?

Jeepers...Dian and her gosh darn sunrises. I'm for leaving our little State around 7-7:30. Mike, I'll call you tonight to finalize plans.

Yea, my neighbors love it when I start mine up in the garage at 06:00! It may not be a big block, but with a kinda leaky exchaust, it is a little loud....

I've only heard back from one person, Roger down on the Cape, who is going to trailer his '70 Elco up. His 4:11's would be kinda tough on a long highway ride. Other than that, no one has responded back in a postive way. Funny thing, it was the same way last year and we ended up with over a dozen members attending.

Right now, it is pouring rain. I'm hoping that the forecast is accurate and it clears up by ride time. I think it will clear up at least by show time. Might have to drive through a little rain. :x

Geeeez Guys, How come nobody's talking up how this show went? Was it that bad/good or does no one want to talk to me anymore? At least Mike still talks to me, huh Mike? At any rate, I heard Tom took 1st, hey, congrats Tom ol boy. Now I understand the addition on your house. Well, hope you all had a good time.

Thanx Mark -- wish you had been able to make it !

I gotta tell you we don't see Roger often - but he has one mean set of wheels... like I told him after the awards "My car might be pretty but yours is pretty and has MUSCLE ! " - really thought he would take the First Place.

The Day was lovely - the company was wonderful and the show was very well managed with some really beautiful rides.

Hope to see you and your 72 real soon -- interesting show at the Brockton Fairgrounds this coming Sunday - (weather promises to be good) - can you make it?

With you two (Tom and Mark) and Roger and Brad mopping up all the top spots, guess I'll be doing a lot of "observing" in future events.

Chevelles and El Caminos only show on the 30th will be my next one. But this time I'm leaving the Rat at home and just going to visit you all, and take lots of pictures of what "real" El Caminos are supposed to look like.

I thought the Nashua show was well run. Just a couple of things were a little different. The fancy trucks parked on the pavement while the show cars all parked in the grass and dirt. And everyone voted on the top car in each of over 40 classes. The PA system could have been a little better down at our end as well. On the plus side, I did think the parking arrangement/ layout was well organized. Though I felt sorry that some of the Elkys had to move to make room for more Mustangs. (Sump'n jest ain't right 'bout dat!).

Overall I'm very glad I went and saw everyone, but sorry that it cost me $50 in gas to do it. Only think that makes that last pill easier to swallow is knowing Roger drove his 4:11 geared 70 Elky there from the Cape, and sucking down more gas than me.

Sorry I had to leave so quickly- dinner (RIBS)! at the in-laws, but in the younger years class, Ernie took third, Peter (not a member) second, and I took first.

The day was a nice day for a show- but I agree that it was not good to have to move for Mustangs. I don't think that people could see that the older Elky class wrapper around the corner.

Just to correct the record...I took second place. The non-member with the red 86 took third. Allen, as usual, took first.
