I'm looking for the part that goes on the carb's throttle assembly that snaps into the end of the throttle cable. It's a tiny part but I need it to connect the cable to my carb. I've uploaded a pic of the part I need as it is seen in someone else's 4th gen. Can you find these in auto parts stores? If not, I'd like to get one from a member if anybody's got a spare.

Hey Jake,
From what I see in the picture it looks like you're after the carburetor ball stud. If you check out OPGI's site you'll find them there. I see a kit in their catalog on pg 350 for $11.99. You might want to check it out.

Got a link to their site? That doesn't sound too unreasonable but I have a feeling I could do better. If I don't find one for any lower at least I can always go there. Thanks.

8) A local parts store like NAPA, Car Quest, or even the local GM parts dept. should be able to get it or may even have it in stock.

Local GM parts department? The same wackos that wanted $50 for a fan pulley and had no idea what I was talking about with my engine mounts because their books don't go back that far? No thanks :) There is a NAPA and an advanced auto within a few minutes of where I live so I'll go have a look. Thanks for the info.

https://www.opgi.com/GateChev4.asp Do a keyword search of Carburetor Ball Stud.
Click on the photo to see if that's what you need.

That link's generic so I really don't know. If I can get it at a local parts store, that's what I'm going to do.

Look at the top right under the C in Chevelle and click the PART#SEARCH then in KEYWORD TYPE CARBURETOR BALL STUD.
Try that and see what you get...........there are like 4 of them in the pkg.
You have to go through the GO button and then click the photo at the point of checkout (although you're not really going to buy at this time). This ought to at least give you an idea.
That part should be available at Auto Zone or other parts stores???

That looks like the right part. But yeah, a few posts up I was informed that I could find one at a regular parts store. I guess they wear out.

Yeah, I'd be making some phone calls, much cheaper that way.....

That's a good thing, it does pay to shop around.
