Hello,

I'm a new member that just got running a 83 elky, with a very Healthy, 460 bbc. With a Built 350 turbo tranny. And hole shot torque
converter.
Problem is ,The big problem is vacuum !, It's only pulling 7 "
in gear   , it has power brakes  I believe I need a 12 volt
electric vac pump? who out there know what car's had a pump installed on them that would work,on this combo?
Thank's for any thought's

Your Elky sounds like a great ride. I don't have any experience with vacuum pumps.
However I have a '83 T Type Regal with a hydraulic power brake unit. The power steering pump supplies the pressure. I've had the car for over 10 years and never had any trouble with it. I saw one on a '80's Caprice station wagon once also. It could be an alternative.

Have you thought about a vacuum reservoir for the master cylinder?
