It's almost here...... Any suggestions as to a day and time to get together at the Speedway or near by?

It's been over a month since you've been around! How are things doing? Steve?

You name the place and I will do my best to be there! I can only do a day trip as we are moving a lot of staff from our Main Street ovvice to P'burg and it is requiring a good bit of planning and weekend prep work. :-D

I'll try to be there on Saturday. Still looking for a deal on a set of heads. Are you showing a car again in your usual spot? If so I'll try to look you up. Vette Head Al should be around too! See ya Hans :P

I'm in southwest Virginia and may have to go down I-77 to Columbia most any day - at my choosing. Please enlighten me on what event you're planning and, if possible, I would welcome the opportunity to meet youse guys in person.

Take care.

The AutoFair at Lowe's Motor Speedway is held each spring with over 10,000 vendors and about 3000 vehicles for sale. This year it takes place April 6,7,8, & 9. If you've never been there, it's a worth while trip for anyone that's into cars. Fellow Elky owners and entusiasts met last year and had a good b-s session.

How about meeting Saturday at high noon under the tower like we did last year. Or, if the majority would like to meet somewhere in the evening, at a restaurant, or even at the Speedway Inn Motel parking lot where I'm staying. The motel is across the street from Outdoor World at I85 & Speedway Blvd.

How about it? Anyone have a preference?

Jay, Thanks for asking, Steve is doing great. I'll PM you.

I think I can, I think I can, ...

Must go to Columbia first, and put out a dozen fires (just like many of you) but will try to do it. May need to swap cell #'s w/ someone if high-noon doesn't work out.

Take care.

Anyone for meeting at high noon on Saturday under the tower?

Or, I'll be at my usual space Thursday through Saturday. CC2159 - next to the far right gate if your standing in the infield and looking up at the grandstands on the front straight out of turn four. Look for my 82 Elky. As usual, I'll have my ice water jug on the wall, help yourself if I'm not there, just bring a bottle or glass.

I'll go with the flow. High noon under the water tower sounds like a John Wayne movie.

Would the group want to eat around noon? If so, what about the tower at noon and someplace to eat a little later. You guys know the layout. Suggest and I'll go along.

Take care.

I will try to make it Saturday. Just one question. How will we know who we are? (Ahh, one of lifes' eternal questions!)

Well, you could always look for fellow highly intelligent people! After all, we do own one of the most unique vehicles there right?

I'll probably be wearing my dark blue NECOA jacket, especially if it's cool weather.

By the way, anyone know for sure if the standings tower is still there after all that remodeling they did?

Not sure I get the connection between unique and intelligent, but I'll go with it Darrell since looking unique could mean a lot of different things - not all good.

In the tropics, you could wear a flower over your ear. Guess we don't want to do that.

Take care

I'll be wearing a shirt with a red, white and blue Bowtie patch exactly like in my signature block to the left.

Aside from that, I'm tall, dark, and handsome. Just think James Bond, but from Virginia, with an Elky instead of an Astin, maybe a little red-neck, a little fat, not quite as good looking, ... Oh hell, just forget the James Bond reference alright?

Take care.

Don't know iffun we're gonna be able to do the Cap City show this year. RIGHT NOW it's scheduled for the same weekend that the FALL Auto Fair is. They didn't realize that when they set their date...and are THINKING about rescheduling. Hope they can! They put on a 1st class show, and we always enjoy goin' down to the big town of Irmo for it.

Sorry I missed you gentlemen. I missed the high-noon bash, After that, you would have had to have a NECOA logo on your head to know. You know, maybe a club hat would be a good idea. About 2:30 I asked myself, Am I having fun yet? The rain and wind said no.

Great event though. Intend to do again and maybe I can meet some of youse guys.

By the way, anyone see that Camino with the propeller?

Take care.

Well, I'm glad the Weather Channel didn't lie to me anyway! Combination of a bad back and the weather forecast changed my mind about going. Sorry you guys got wet, but glad I didn't. We shall try again later.
