So your engine appears to come from a 1984 Chevy truck, either a 305 or a 350 going by intake.

The casting number does not fit anything I can find, Check it out

Thanks PaPa John and Z71.
Z71, pretty helpful info. I also found Mortec pages, a lot of decoding over there. The engine looks like a replacement 307, w a 4Q, but still figuring out (XTC code very rare), trying to find dates on the block.
I open a gallery where you can take a look (2nd gen, page #5, chileelky)

latest news on my 67 chilean elky (see new pictures on 2nd gen)

heard the following story from previous owner:

he was told by a former GM employee that the body was modified by a GM facility or a GM special supplier (after leaving the original manufacturing plant) and intended to be ! a hearse ! (kind of open top but with a canopy) and could only be sold to offshore funeral houses and only about a 1000 were made. Part of the story is the same guy found one in Panama and another somewhere else and rebuilt one out of them, cause it was a very rare item.

(Original sierra fawn paint kind of make sense, actual yellow is bombardier sea doo yellow, previous owner was a local dealer and painted for a world sea doo convention video)

Previuos owner said he rebuild the engine and promise me to get all the items changed (mainly from Edelbrock) to make a decent 350+ hp out of it ?????? I`ll post info once I get it.

appreciatte your help and comments on the hearse issue

Best regards,

That was a flower car in a funeral I bet, would follow the hearse loaded to the gills with flowers. You might talk to some of the older locals or a funeral director about the car.
Nice find! Good pics.
