Is there any where to get a new gasket set for the heat/AC box to firewall for a 79? If not what does every one suggest for a replacement, was thinking of useing window urethane.

I use body putty (dumb dumb) you can get from body shop suppliers. Silicone sealer works too, window urethane might be a little hard to remove if you ever needed to take it back off, but would work in a pinch.

I recommend that you use an average grade of black silicone. Do NOT use products like 3M 5200 or it will never come off again. No need to use a big bead, just a decent size bead to seal it.

I have a few tubes of the tan body seam sealer. Is that what you mean buy the Dumb Dumb? If that will work that is what I will use.

Body seam sealer will be really hard to crack if you ever need to get that box off again. Trust me, a cheap tube of silicon is your best bet.
