I have been out on this site for a few weeks stalking around, anyway..
I have an 84 Conquista that I am redoing for my son. He is in the Navy and gone for a boat ride for 6 monthes or so. He bought this El Camino from and dealer becase he liked the color......(a repaint, and a bad one at that) I t has partial ground effects, front one missing rear one held on by a bunge. Before he let for his boat ride I had the car shipped back to Chicago, so I have another project for the winter. The 305 that is in it is trashed, so I have a 350 I'm going to drop in it.

I do have a questionWhat exactly does the Conquista package consist of??

I will post a few pictures as I go along, I am going to pull the motor and trans this weekend, the front clip is already off.

The great thing about this car, being from the midwest, is there is no rust at all on it, except where the bubbles in the paint have broken. I think it was an Earl Shieb trainor.

Thats for the good site.

It's an appearance package. Mainly it's two tone paint. A matching roof and lower body color with a contrasting center body color and shiny body trim separating the colors. Oh, I forgot to mention the pretty Conquista decal on the tailgate.

Hey what a great "late" Christmas present for a son. Especially one serving his/our country!

Man I wish i could say that, my 81 has been in the midwest(IN) for most its life and the winter salt took its toll on a part of the rear frame by the bumpers and a few spots on the floorboards. So you got pretty lucky. Good luck with the engine swap, Hope your son enjoys it! 8)
