Anybody box in their rear control & trailing arms? It's more within the budget to do this instead of buying the overpriced aftermarket ones. Just curious if anybody had some input/experience with this. I'll be adding new bushings too.

I figured I'd give it a try, I can't see paying $500ish for aftermarket units  Where do they come up with those unreal prices! With my future plans it'll probably be well worth the little time it takes to do this.

Chev,

Go to Chevelles.com and search for 'rear control arms' in the suspension forum.

There is a good blow-by-blow on this mod.

Good luck

Check my post in the BS forum here... There is a group purchase going on for the BMR Fabrications Tubular rear control arms... they are like $130 for the pair... And that includes the bushings. A lot cheaper than the high priced global west & hotchkis stuff, but just as good.

Worth a look...
I ordered a set for my 70 elky... Ask me in about a month how well they work.. i should have them installed by then...

Hey AHSOM thanks for the info on this. Took a look at BMR's sight and they look like they make some quality parts and at very reasonable prices too.
