I changed my oil this morning and found block #'s right above the oil filter.
377388 and right below that is # 103 with a ^ beside that #. Can anybody tell me what this is?

By the way the block is either a 327 or 350 that's what I'm trying to find out.

I looked for those numbers on www.mortec.com and couldn't find anything that matched. Are you sure about those numbers? Are you looking in the right place for the casting numbers? Casting numbers are located on the back leftside of the block on top where the trans bolts up. The area your describing is where some VIN numbers are located.

Casting # is 3970010 on block behind drivers side head. The casting # on block is either a 302,327,350. The block has been decked so I can't raise the serial # off of engine pad. When I changed the oil the # above the filter was 377388 with 103 below it.
I 'm sure the original engine block was tossed long ago. I just wonder if I have a 327 in it. Which wouldn't be a bad thing, the 327 was a pretty high winding motor although I have never wound mine up past 4 grand.

P.S. I do have 461 heads on it.
