bought a summit chrome water pump for 350 mouse long style. very nice looking unit. after install and 3 minutes of running on engine the bearing started squealing, and it started "peeing" anti freeze out of inspection hole. this p.o.s. isnt worth the metal its made of! i made sure of proper belt tension and pulley alignment before firing, so i know it wasnt on my end. after talking to tech support they are sending a weiand action plus unit. THIS IS THE STRAW THAT BROKE THE CAMELS BACK. HATE TO BE NEGATIVE BUT JEGS AND SUMMIT HAVE BOTH SENT ME JUNK! FROM NOW ON IF IT HAS MOVING PARTS IN IT ILL BUY LOCAL IF POSSIBLE. thier support is all fine and dandy but it doesnt account for all the time trouble and labor of having to do the job twice. plus the tech from summit could barely speak english!! WAS I A VICTIM OF OUTSOURCEING?? SAY IT AINT SO! anyway its on top left of page 178 on march-april 2006 SUMMIT CATALOG. IT EVEN SAYS MADE IN USA, WHAT A SHAME. !!BUYER BEWARE OF THIS PUMP!!
