I went to the show this weekend. Most awesome rides I have ever seen. I think there were just under 2000 rides entered in the show. I have posted a few pics in the car show section. We got to drive around the track at Texas Motor Speedway. They let us make 3 laps around the track. I went just over 100 mph a time or two. Kind of hard to do with all the other cars in the way. I just don't see how the nascar guys do it at the speeds they do. I'm going to Biloxi this coming week for the Cruising The Coast car show. there will be around 6000 cars there. I will take more and better pics of that show for you guys.......... 8)

Thanks for taking the time to post those great show pictures! I want that Silver '69 Camaro RS thank you very much! That Black 65-66? El Camino is a work of art! I read an article on that car in one of my magazines I have a while back. Looks like it was a great day!

The black 66 Elky that you speak of, is indeed a work of art. It belongs to a buddy of mine (John B.), and he is the ultimate custom car builder. This guy can do ANYTHING with a car. If you look at the pictures posted, and see all those aluminum parts....he made them ALL from scratch. That is a 1000 point car if ever there was one. I have had the honor of parking next to it a time or two at shows, and it is a crowd pleaser to the max.

He has a blue 66 malibu that is done in basically the same theme. It is also an amazing machine, but I would say the Elky is better. His next project is a 62 impala, and I would not be suprised if it is even better...if that is possible. The Mailbu was on the cover of Chevelle World last summer.
