Hey all.....

I'm getting close to getting my 85 Elky driveable....
Well sorta. Lemme rephrase that ....ugly but on the road.

I Still need to:
1. Fix rear window rot.
2. Install electronic ignition.
3. Reinstall windshield correctly.
4. Complete custom redo of interior including install electric window/locks on one door.
5. Reinstall exhaust and change pipes to side rather than rear output.
6. French in Caddy Deville taillights.
7. Fab custom induction hoode.
8. Recess front bumper
9. Sand and paint.

Recently done:
1. Installed headers
2. Whitefaced Guages and Speedo/Tach
3. Installed 700-R4 and shortened driveshaft.
4. Acquired bucket seats.

So....what are you guys up to and where do your projects stand?
Maybe we can get together and assist each other!

Glenn

well i have a 78

1.) getting here to WV from my parents garage where its kept right now outside of Philly PA.

2.) it can be on the road with bout an hour of work but it would be very ugly.

my plan is get here remove the engine for my mods.
tear the body down to sand and paint
build my own dash (can be done for about 60-90 bucks)
run new wires
new floor boards
replace windsheild
run my exhuast

last but not least o all redo the rear and place more support back there.

but other then that its goign well lol

Oh to be able to concentrate on one vehicle...let's see in order of precedence 1). 1996 Grand Am GT 2) 1994 Z71 4X4 3) Toss up between 1988 GTA Trans Am and the Elky 4) 1985 Trans Am (undecided if I'm even keeping this one yet)...there's more. It's pretty bad when someone asks me how many cars I have and everytime someone asks I have to stop and count them on my fingers. Only the GAGT runs right now besides the GMC 2 1/2 ton dump truck and I catch hell from my buddies that own Fords for having so many GMs that aren't running...so I tell them they're all collector cars that are just in different stages of restoration or modifications. I'm beginning to think there isn't enough time left to finish them before I get oldtimers disease and forget where they're at or what they are...soooo if you catch me in your driveway working on your Elky...please forgive me...I forget a lot....What the hell were we talking about anyway?
