Ive have heard many times that elky/convertable frames in the G-bods are stronger than the others because they were fully boxed from the factory. However, on both my 87 and 79 they are not boxed in the entire lenght. From about the rear of the front fender to the front of the rear wheel well is open on the inside where the fuel lines are. Am I mis-understanding something???

Except for the lenght (Elkys are longer) all G-Body frames are almost identical.
