im looking for a good dual plane manifold for a 400 motor..i am kind of leaning toward and edelbrock 2101..but are there any others out there that might give me the same sort of results??i am running a cam that is a match for that particular manifold but just want to know my other options..

I really like my edelbrock performer. I felt a difference on my 350.

Just recommending an intake manifold without knowing more specifics about your engine is not a good way to pick an intake manifold. Do you want the engine to produce more torque in the bottom end RPM range or top end RPM range. Is the vehicle driven daily or occasionally? Is gas milage a factor? Is emissions a factor? What type of carb are you going to run (CFM)? What type of cylinder heads (stock or aftermarket)? Have you considered fuel injection? What if anything else has been done to your engine? Blah blah blah yada yada.

i know what i need as far as a set up is involved..I just want to know of other brands out there that people use..each brand has their own line of manifolds for specific motors.

Not an answer to your question, but I've got the air gap performer on my project car. I had to add a one inch spacer to help with the low-end torque....
