I got my Metro door seals today, I have never been so disapointed in the quality of a product. Looks nothing like the pictures on their web site, as far as color and construction. The cheap thing shows the 4 pieces they used to put it together, and now my door doesn't close! OEM quality my a*s. The "super soft" pieces have a hollow center, and there's one hard-rubber piece that keeps the door from closing properly. Now the dam- thing is glued to my door. First thing tomorrow morning someone is going to get an earful at that company.

I've had this car since new, and the doors ALWAYS closed with the push of a finger. Now I have to slam the thing 3 times to get it to latch. At least I only put it on my driver's side, so the passenger still has the OEM seals. Maybe I can cut out the hard rubber part and patch in some of the OEM weatherstrip.

Well, I have to say at least Metro has great customer service. They are going to send me a replacement piece, possibly because the one I got was constructed wrong or mis-boxed.

I will reserve judgement until I get the correct part!

I'd rather have a good product and quality control. I hope it's better than what you've already installed. We're all eagerly waiting for the judgement.

That is very true. Although they are willing to work out this problem, the time and expense in putting on the wrong part is not going to be refunded. I would have never glued it on if I realized the door would not close.

I am definitly going to keep my eyes open for a set of OEM seals.

What is the website for Metro and their weatherstrip? Is there some reason that Steele Rubber Co's product is not used? Please give us some info on who does the best job.

Thanks,
BB
