I just inherited a 1986 SS with the 305. Has about 115,000 miles but is in overall good condition. It's not registered yet and I have limited driving time with it. However, I have noticed a few things and am looking for some input as to what to do next.

I have the 305 engine. Any thoughts on what upgrades can be done short of replacing the engine. Actually, a new engine was installed in 2000 and it only has about 10,000 miles on it as the car was not driven very much. I'm just looking for recommendations to make the car better. Thanks.

Apprarently from your other post, emissions is not a concern...sooooo, headers with dual exhaust, dual plane intake manifold, upgrade your ignition, better cam, and the biggy...get rid of the boat anchor heads and get something that breeeeeaths.
