Tired of your tranny shifting at too low RPM at W.O.T? I like to run my Elky on Friday nights at the drag strip, but I don't like manually shifting my column shifter (going into reverse when wound out just ain't cool) and I don't want to convert to a floor shifter, so I bought a B&M governor recalibration kit (TCI makes one too, but it costs a little more). Your normal everyday part throttle shifts are handled by the modulator, but your wide open throtle shifts are done by the governor. Stock mine was shifting a 3950 rpm, way below my cam's 5200 peak. The kit comes with 6 new weights and 6 new springs. You have to experiment a bit to get the rpm shift that you want, but by playing around with it you can get it. I after three tries I have it to 5500rpm, got a little more tweaking to do but I'm getting close. This is not a hard job to do, you don't need to be a tranny wizard to attempt this. The hardest part is jacking the car up high enough to get under it comfortably ( with jack stands of course). Those lucky enough to have a lift, I envy you.
