We had our annual downtown music festival last week here in Chattanooga. I had the pleasure of seeing Ray Wylie Hubbard play. What a treat, those of you in the southwest probably know his work.

Never heard of him, but he's got a cool website (http://www.raywylie.com/). 8-) I listened to a few sample tracks on CircuitCity.com (http://entertainment.circuitcity.com/Music/Album.aspx?p_id=P++++39447&a_id=R+++716591&PersonID=P%20%20%20%2039447&prodid=PHIP711244.2) , and I'd have to say I do like some of his stuff...kinda country/blues/bluegrass-type music.

The web site is a blast, no doubt. raywylie.com. The best part of his show was the stories. Seems like there was one before every song. If you go to the web site, click media, then click videos. It's more of some drawings to go with the story than a video but you will get a little taste of what it was like. That story is very funny, the ones he told when I saw him had me crying I was laughing so hard. If you click radio you will get a sample of the music. He is probably best known for the song, Up against the wall redneck mothers. He wrote it from personal experiences, one of the stories, however it made it big recorded by Jerry Jeff Walker. If you hung out in any saloon in the south back in the early 70's, you know the song.
