Well so far this place is dee-ee-ay-dee DEAD! You could shoot a cannon across the field and not hit anything. I sure hope tomorrow will be better. I'm down on the main field, so it's close to the vendor areas.

There are two Elkys in the invitational building, both stock Gen 3. I walked the entire vendor area so I left early and came back for a rest, my legs are like silly putty.

I'm taking lots of pics and will post them when I get home, I forgot the cable for the camera.

The new Camaro concept is OUTRAGEOUS, as is the Nomad wagon.

Well more cars came today but it was still pretty quiet. But here is the cool thing that happened to me today... About 2PM I noticed a guy judging an Impala, it took him nearly 45 minutes to go over the car. As some of you may know Carlisle is a peer judged event so this guy with the clipboard stood out. When he was done I asked him who he was. It turns out the US Musclecar Federation professionally judges cars on a 1000 point system and picks the top 15 out of all the cars judged that day. Unfortunately to qualify you have to sign up before noon, but I did it anyway to see how I could do up against all the heavily modified Impalas and Chevelles and Novas.

Came time to judge and he took nearly 45 minutes scoring on several pages of criteria. He went over the car with a fine tooth comb, nothing was overlooked. In the end I scored a 986 out of 1000! He said that if I had been in the running before noon I would have been one of the top 15 chosen! He didn't tell me where in the 15 I would have been though. Imagine that! And to me the Elky wasn't anywhere near ready for that kind of judging
