During the final process of restoring my '84 El Camino, I was cleaning the rusty and dirty area of the roof rail on the driver side when the prong which holds the window in towards the body let go. It was rusted much more than I thought and cannot be saved. I have been unable to find the roof rail part in any of my catalogs to replace this part. Any ideas?

I'm not sure what piece you're talking about. Is it the small brace that screws to the body that holds the glass up against the pinchweld or is it part of the roofrail itself thats rusted. Can you post a picture. I have a few of those braces that I can send you if you need them.
