Ok, I don't know much about this elky, other than it had a 305/350 original and very few options. I have looked all over the axle and can;t even find the codes on it. I will have to take the pressure washer to it to get all of the grease off tomorrow, anyway here's the cowl numbers on it.

05B - Productio month and week, May - 2nd week of 1978
0464 - Assembly plant id number
D91 - RPO code for Special 2 tone paint
79L - Lower paint color is Dark Carmine Poly
77U - Carmine Poly upper paint

The 5th digit in the VIN will code the engine
M - V6 200cid
A - V6 231 cid
U - 305 cid
L - 350 cid
