I've used Duplicolor and PPG (Regular auto paint) both do a good job. Duplicolor I noticed tends to fade over time, doesn't turn brown, doesn't flake just fades. I suppose that is due to lack of UV protection or inadequate UV protection. Regular PPG/Dupont and things like that last fine and don't flake or peel, discolor or stuff like that.

Following an article in a Chevy Rag we painted the inside of an engine block with DuPont auto finish and later, after we blew up the motor at the races when we tore into it, the paint was in excellent condition still. Block was trash but no flaking or peeling or even discoloring. It was an FA/AA blown SBC engine.

My observations so far is most modern automotive paints are very robust and not as bad as the older single stage paints.
