So that means I'll be at Alabama International Dragway (http://www.alabamainternationaldragway.com) in Steele, Al. this Friday night (7/14/06) for Moonlight Madness, if it don't rain. I'll probably be going next friday (7/21/06) also, as we plan on not going back out on the road untill at least 7/24. So come on up (or down) and show off your Elkies and do some drag racing, enjoy the music and fun. Race me and see who ends up buying the burgers and pepsi's.

Well, if I thought mine would make it...it might turn the mid 15 minutes! Actually, mine's in a state of disassembly. It's still driveable but there's no back glass and most of the chrome's off. Oh, the smuggler's box lid...well, I guess dropping those 15 lbs would be decisive...not! Sorry mama but you'd just humiliate me. Have fun//glenn

Roxanne, I have a friend that ran a car in the quick rod class there several times. We went to watch him one time and they had a jet Kenworth there that weekend. It's been several years back but it's not something you forget. It blew the fence down behind the burn out area. When it went down the track it was so loud, so big, and so fast that I was totally amazed.

Glenn, you don't need chrome or even a back window to run, infact you should be real fast just letting the wind blow straight out the back 8)

Sounds like fun Roxanne, that's just kind of a long haul for me. As far as the r/t challenge goes, with you on foot brake and me dropping the clutch, I'm betting on you.

Ya never know until you try, with my stock th350, it's pretty slow especially when I'm asleep at the lights!

But I'll be up there tonight, if it doesn't rain, and plan on being there next week too.
