Hi, I am trying to break down the engine # on my motor. This is a 87 El Camino. Eng # from right front pad.

V= Filnt
02= Feb
04= 4th day
CKH=????
What i have found so far is CKH= 73-74 350ci??? suppose to be a 305?

On the left back of the block is GM 5.0LG which tells me it is a 305ci?????

2nd # CH8= ???
907875= last #s of my vin# Telling me this is the original engine. Or someone restamped the vin# on the block :cool: (don't think so)

Help please.

to my knowledge all 86-87's came with 305's. Unless the engine was removed and replaced with a 350.
