just lookin for some general direction on getting parts for my 1979 el camino-just bought it and very anxious to start the restoration process-its my first project car so its all new to me-i'm lookin for everything from interior to exterior parts-the only thing that s new is the engine-i ve already tried some local salvage/junk yards with no luck :evil:

When it comes to parts the internet is your best friend. There are lots of parts on e-bay and other catiloge sellers online. You can also find most of the body and trim clips and an auto parts store or paint store. There are people who sell trim clips on e-bay but they useally charge more than what the clips will cost at the parts store. Also I would recomend buying a full set of intearior screws. This will save you alot of headaches down the road. Hopefully you can find everything you need.
