I fianlly got the rear of my elkie in the air. The frame is toast. Any help in locating a decent frame would be appreciated.

There's a guy up in Canada making the rear frame horns (must be welded in)...there was also a guy up in Norhtern IL that had an Elky frame for sale a couple of months ago...check over at www.maliburacing.com

The frame is rotted on both sides from the bumper mounts to just over the rear end.

if your serious about building a car, sounds like u got a good canidate for a back half project

I thought about it, but the elkie is going to serve a dual purpose.. Besides I have an 87 Monte SS Aerocoupe that i'm building into a serious street machine..

it would prob still be cheaper and take less time than swapping frames tho

Dang, I had a solid '83 frame last summer,but ended up having it hauled off to the local junkyard.

That sucks.. Im going to southern missouri on monday to look at a frame, and possibly a whole car..
