For Sale:

I’m selling a 1970 El Camino With a 350, Edelbrook performer intake & carb 350 transmission. Options include PS, factory air but doesn’t work. Mechanicals of the truck are great. Engine starts easy and runs like new. Dual exhaust headers and mufflers. The body of the truck looks good. Tailgate areas that are usually a problem are excellent with no dings or dents on the side panels. The truck bed is solid. The frame is solid. The paint is in great shape. The interior has good panels excellent dash (no cracks) headliner has no holes. Original bench seat carpet and door cranks. Rally rims with tall center caps also have a set of Crager SS wheels with tires. The car has a snap-on toneau cover. This is a great driver. $5000.00 O.B.O

The car is very dependable and is in good shape there is some bondo filler in the rear quarts. I've owned the car since 1992 the car has never see snow since I've owned it and the man I bought it from brought it up from Missouri to Minnesota to sell it here. The only reason I'm selling it is because I was in a car accident in 1996 and I'm now in a wheelchair. I've been back and forth with selling it or keeping it since the accident.

You can see pictures of the car @ www.elcaminocentral.com
Pictures of the car are in the third generation: page 11 under Woody-Dogs Please emails all questions to: woodydogs@msn.com Title the e-mail El Camino Questions. PLEASE

Is she still for sale? She looks clean in the pics - is that maroon or some type of brown color? I live in south GA - so it'd be super tough - but maby not completely un-doable; would she make a 1200 mile drive OK? What kind of mileage does she get? How many miles on the od, how many miles on the engine? What's the story on the hood - is it aftermkt / fiberglass or steel, any other non original things (the grill?)? Is the trans original - any work done to it or any other problems with the car - mechanical (any drips) or otherwise? Do you belive the AC just needs a recharge - are all the parts still there - ac belt & compressor ok?

Thanks!

Hey there Woody,

Don't sell your Cool Camino just because of your wheelchair. I have been using a wheelchair for over 30 years from a motorcycle crash and I still build and race hot rods. Take that spare tire out and make room for your chair there. It has a automatic and power steering and with a simple hand control you will be cruising!
Check out my 72 Big Block Sprint on page 14 under Hawk5619. That car is hand controlled and I race it at the local drag strip and cruise in style!

Good luck and KEEP IT!!
