Ok, question for all you pros....LOL

My front end is all new with the exception of the centerlink and pitman arm (just didn't replace them)

when driving straight down the road sometimes my car will want to steer into another direction slightly... when going around a curve it will turn a little more than i need it too, sometimes...lol

I have adjusted the steering box according to this post I found http://elcaminocentral.com/ftopict-16405-steering.html+box+adjustment

It helped a little, my adjustment nut is almost tightned all the way down....

If I unlock my column there is a little play before the wheel will actually turn...

Is my steering box goin bad or is the rag joint gone...

8) The toe in might be at or close to 0. It kind of makes the steering seem a little quick with little movement.

O toe in won't cause that type of problem when the spec is 1/8 total toe in, your caster will cause a wandering problem which sounds like you have. Always have the alignment done after replacing front end parts because no mater how good you are you would be surprised how far off you can be. Also parts are not created equal.

Ray take it to the alignment shop it is well worth the money.
Here are the specs for your baby: Toe in 1/8 total, Caster 2 1/2 deg. both left and right equal, Camber 1/2 deg on the left and 1/4 degree on the right. Make sure you get a printed readout to compare with.

I put it on stands last night with the weight of the wheels on the stands and check my toe setting; it was off quite a bit. I messed with it sunday but didn't have the weight of the wheels and messed it up....

Got it back within an 1/8 of an inch and it's darn near perfect now....

Plan to get it to a shop for an alignment in a couple of weeks when i get new tires...
