Anyone know a website that has 327 assembled crate engines for sale? I've looked everywhere but I can't find anything but 350's..
I have a 305 now..but the engine is kind of shot...so I'm just going to upgrade.
I don't really want a 350 because I'd like to keep my mounts and springs and transmission...and I loved the old 327's..heh
Any thoughts?

305,350,327 (any small block chevy)...all the same mounting and general weight (all within a few pounds of each other) The exception being the very first 265 from 1955 (different engine mounts). If you want to go with a 327, you're going to have to build your own, if you can find one that isn't overpriced to start with. Thier not too commonly found much anymore, at least not around here

What kind of performance range are you looking to get into? For a good basic engine, the 250hp Goodwrench 350 stock replacement would be hard to beat for a daily driver at $1200-ish.
