After some thinking and listening to some of the opinions in here i have decided to run 18in torque thrust 2s atleast on the back. and 17s on the front. I want to run 8 inches wide on the back. Does anyone know the exact size type tire and offspacing i would need for 18s on the back without using adaptors or cutting. Or do i need adaptors regardless. I have rear springs off of a malibu station wagon of the same year that i plan on installing too so that should give me just a tiny bit more clearance. 20s although are just way to stiff. I rode in a friends camaro with 20s and it felt like i was on a hores wagon.

I'm wondering the same thing. I'm going with 18x7(f), and 18X8(R) or 20x8(R). Go ahead and flame me on the 20's, I just like the look.

All I can say is that I'm running 17x8 with a 4.5 backspace without any problems.

Ok looks like I'm going to order a 17" set. I got a set of 4 almost brand new 245/45/17's off one of my mustangs sitting in the shed. Should I order 17x7(F) 17x8(R) or just order 17x8's all for corners. My car is a 79 by the way. Thanks for any help
