Has anyone used or had any experience with the QP1200 headers from Sanderson? I read way back that they were actually very effecient. They look great, probably has the best fit you can get but are kinda pricey. I'd stick the link in but I dunno how@!#@. It's Sandersonheaders.com

I have Sanderson on my car Mike. Likely not the same model however I can tell you this, they are very well made. Could be why they cost more.

A friend of mine bought a set of cast Sandersons for his street rod, I was appalled!!! The casting for one side was way off !!!! The ports almost didn't line up at all, they only match about 50%. He's pissed but has the funds to get whatever he wants, he's running them now cause he was ready to ride, and he won't even talk to the people at Sanderson when he gets ready to replace them.

I have a set on my 1966 Corvette 327 and I am very pleased with the fit and quality. I'm very surprised that Jame's friend had a problem with his.

I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself!!! And my friend Bill has had Sandersons before for other street rods. Something went awry with these though!!! I think he called and complained but they wanted them back before sending him another set, he kept them and ran them anyway for now.

Being cast iron and available with ceramic coating I bet they will last forever. Are they quieter than tube headers?

Real cheap tubular headers have a very noticeable "sound"; quality tubular headers not so noticeable but the cast iron Sanderson headers sound just like a stock cast iron exhaust manifold. Sanderson claims that the "anti-inversion" ridges help it to outperform tubular headers; I'm not convinced that this is a valid claim. I bought the Sanderson headers for the appearance, they look very "smooth" especially with the shiny ceramic coating.
