Here I am spending months and months restoring my elky, looking all over for parts, spending boat loads of cash, slowly getting it done, dreamin about driving it, then,,,
Right off the wall.....
My step son comes home with a 69 Roadrunner with 60k miles on it (with proof, all the photos, papers and recepts for all the work done to it). OY!
The Car is mint, complete documented frame up resto, all stock (383). Matching numbers.
It needs a new drivers side sunvisor,, that's it. makes me sick.
What a car, he spent some hard earned cash on it. (I used to have a RR back in "the day", So I've been drooling over it.)

Any how I'd though I'd share that,,

Any good Mopar forums out there?

I've owned a 68 440 Road Runner (wrecked it) a 70 383 Road Runner (gave it away) and a 69 440 Coronet R/T (burned up in a shop while having an Alston back half frame installed. Someone shouldv'e kicked me in da rear for letting those go! :buttkick:

With the exception of the 3rd gen elkys. I've been a mopar fan forever. I like roadrunners, coronets, superbees, gtx's, 340 dusters, twisters, and of course the Superbirds and dodge daytonas.

Forgot to mention the challenger. It will be intersting to see how th new challenger turns out. From what I've read it's a clone to the 70 model.

Runs great, sounds great, "feels" great.
Next step, put it on the road.....

Wish it was mine.

8) Wow! What a nice looking RR! Mine was red with a 4 speed and "HEMI" badges on the hood. Totaled it 3 weeks after I bought it. Stored the motor and trans in my father-in-laws garage when we moved to Wisconsin. He got mad at me over something I said about his oldest kid and had the wifes cousin haul it away for junk. Her cousin claimed he took it to the scrap yard but I knew better.

The rest of my family are Mopar fans; at least it's not Fords....

Here's a pic of my car next to my brother's Ramcharger:

Nice RR

I also have old and new Mopars, but still love the Elky.

Drive and 05 Magnum, and play with the 74 Charger.

yeah, I'm GREEN with envy too  what a sweet RR!

My first car was a mopar, a 72 Duster. it started out as a trashed slant 6 and with some help from my fam and a lot of my own elbow greese I turned it into whats pictured here. I had it for about 7yrs and had to let go of it because of financial hardships. that was 5 yrs ago and I've regreted it since.
I had a blast in that car, all those hat-backward punks driving those 5.0 mustangs hated me! but I guess a souped up 360 vs a stock 302 is an unfair advantage :-P http://www.picturehosting.org/images/takespics/duster.jpg
