I have rear air shocks on my '84.

I need to know what the highest PSI I can go safely...

right now they have 35PSI..but when I take a turn rather fast and the weight shifts..I get a little rub..so I'd like to raise them more..

IIRC it's 120psi.

You can go over 150 on aftermarket air shocks, but the ride will suck.

Tires rub? How wide are your tires? Do they stick out past the lip of the wheel well? What are you going to do when the airshocks get a leak. A better idea would be to install a set of "Airlift" air bags for approx $80, there more dependable!

yeah right now the tires are too big...

the guy who owned it before me put them on..and they are new tires..thus I don't want to go to a smaller tire for more $

I think I will stick with the air shocks at about 65PSI..that would probably get rid of most the rub..

My airshocks are made by Monroe and they spec 90 psi.

Man, I love my air bags. They are invisable until I need them. I have always had air shocks, going to kyb gas adjust shocks made it so much more enjoyable to drive. Smoother & handles better.
