Yo Guys, sorry I did,t get back here sooner.I've been working on my Elky and a friends Elky.Poor guy has had a hard time with his repair shop. He's been going to the same guy since '91.They have replaced the engine 3 times the trans 4 times and the alt 6 times since '91.Funny thing is the #'s match even though he has bought 3 new 350 crate motors.
Hey Yank, went through Tifton just recently on the way to Sea Island.A good buddy from NY drove a 560 sl down for a customer. He got paid 150 a day plus expenses. We picked up chicken from KFC in Tifton on the way back.NICE town.Where are you from?
86SS,Where is Dalton,I'm at exit 127 I-75.
mooseinga,I have been in and through Columbus on my way to Auburn and points west.once you get past Reynolds it's mostly 4 lane highway, about a 1.5 hr ride
ga79elky, missed that show and the one at the Avation Museum on 247 in Warner Robins. We were at the fair in Perry.GREAT fair BTW,BIG,clean, safe and no muddy paths.

Thanks to all of you who replied,
Shane

Shane,
Dalton, Georgia is about 30 miles south of Chattanooga, right on I-75.

Hmmmm, let me see, your friend has had the motor changed 3 times since 91, and each time the numbers match? I have a bridge for sale in New York City that I am letting go very cheap...would your friend be interested in purchasing it? He could set up a toll booth and charge tolls to keep buying the motors with the same matching numbers.

1986SS,You are way up there. You must be in the mountains, how's the leaf color change up there?
Hey Mike ,I aready tried to sell him the brooklyn bridge, but he has seen the light and won't be wasting money no more.
I'm correcting all the mistakes made on his Elky for him and upgrading as I go along.
He has no antenna, the windshield antenna wires are broken off.I'm making a sheet metal box to fit the electric remote mount mast and I'm mounting it on the back of the cab,in the bed.I'm gonna put the motor drive for the mast next to the smugglers box. That way when he shuts of the radio the mast hides away.

The Fall color is nice here. Not as great as in the Smokey's, but nice.

Since NECOA Region-7 covers TN-GA-AL, I was hoping to get something fairly central for these states. Chattanooga is central, but there appears to be more members in Georgia than anywhere else in Region-7, so I suggested Dalton, GA. It's right on I-75, and I know a few folks there that could help set something up.

I'll be glad to drive to Atlanta, Birmingham, Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, or somewhere else if someone wants to set up an El Camino meet. I'll even bring Dan Smith along. :P

I don't have internet access from my home/shop, so I only get to check this board when I visit Dan's house. My cell number is 423-413-3570.

Hey guys;

Count me in for Dalton. I'm a little over an hour south, it's an easy drive. Keep us posted...
