Hey Guys, I've been trying to find a NICE bed mat for my '76.I spoke with the ElCamino Store today and they have some Very nice bed mats for 78 to 87,but nothing for mine.Any ideas?

I have not had the chance to look into it but I have been thinking of going into a Home Depot and looking at their flooring materials. Maybe they might have some large rubber material. Another thought is looking for a company that make the rubber mats for industrial/business companies. Those mats that workers have to stand on for long periods of time. Those are nice and thick with a solid cushion. Just have to have a template of the bed to cut to fit.

Also saw in Summit in the truck section they sell bed mats but not for the El Camino. They sell a cool full size Chevy bed mat with the embossed bow-tie logo in the middle. Maybe that company can cut one to fit ours?

Just go out and pick up any full size truck mat and trim it to fit...that's what I did, came out pretty good. :cool:

I was thinking the same thought on that also, but aren't the full-size trucks wheel well openings in different locations?...Well I guess you can buy a bed mat form step-side with no fender wells in the bed then cut to fit.
