Has anyone successfully dyed the cloth seats in a 5th - Gen. I have a dark burgandy (Wine) color 55/45 seat that has faded badly...Surprisingly carpet is OK.

Want to try dying before replacing upholestry. Want something that won't come off on clothes.

I tried a search, mostly got threads on carpet dye.

Any thoughts

havent used it in years but there used to be a product called MarHyde that made a dye for fabric. its worth a try but i still think your best bet is seat covers. several companies offer original style replacement seat covers in original colors. maybe other owners out there can direct you to the best deal. hope this helps, chuck.
