Is there any fun car shows, meet and greets or clubs in Western Wa.?

I am new to the El Camino/Chevelle club scene. I previously owned a 94 Corvette and now a 323 BMW. But they aren't half as fun to drive as my little 70 clone. I still use the BMW as my daily driver. Way better gas mileage!

It would be great to get together and see everyones cars. I just never see Wa. represented here in the forums. Give me a shout! I think there is a Big Car show in Lacey Wa. coming up in a couple of weeks. I will try and find out more details.

Right now I'm in el camino limbo My '68 has been the paint shop since July and I can't wait to get it out. My luck it will be just about the time the monsoons start......Oh well...

George here, out of nearby LAKEWOOD.

I bought my 1970 Elky last OCT. It is kinda/sorta an SS clone w/stripes and cowl ind hood.
I'm well along gathering parts for a 462" RAT for my car.
I've been underwhelmed with the low compression 350 since purchase. the other week I saw online on Craigslist some small chamber 305 heads that had been fitted with 2.02/1.60 valves with proper machine work, throating, unshrouding, mondo springs etc by a competant shop. I traded the 76 cc heads right off my engine for these heads.
My car runs great now but can't wait to build the 462.....

I live about 20 to 30 minutes from George.

We need to plan a little get together since we all live so close. I can drive up to an hour away or so. I am working this Sat. I am a photographer and am shooting a wedding. Maybe we could meet somewhere cool and I could get some pics of the cars together. Mt Rainier in the background could be cool. Any Ideas? I am free the rest of the summer. Just give me an excuse to burn some fuel.

Local dude Don I believe has a 69 and a 71. Seems he recently got the 69 up and running. Both Mouse Power with the 71 having goodies and the 69 being Stock. Dennis down the street has a 79 w/22 options he put a 454 and a 700R4 into a few years back. He's from the Muscle car years.... Then there is Ben from Mill Creek up north. He just put a 454 HO into his 68 SS. He's big into the show things. I forget his name but the dude at the Ardessens' Shoe Repair in Lakewood has some 60's stuff, pretty sure there is an old Elky or two in his mix.....he's a big Chevelle/ElCamino club guy too. Meeting in FED WAY.
I'm kinda tied up with big remodel of the home.....these home things are more cash-consuming than my 427 Vette at full throttle!

Where are pics of the 65 RiceEater? How about more pics of the FO50FO?
What are your car experience levels? Talk alone, I'm a 6 on a 1-5 scale. I'm pretty handy with a wrench but not the greatest at Electrical. I build my own engines, a bit rusty at 4-speeds.

Hey FO. Welcome . I'm from a little town named Salkum about an hour south of Oly. Got alot of relatives who live up there (Hell, I used to ) Would be interested in somekind of get together before the weather turns crappy. I drive mine 365 but I know some get put in the garage. Keep me posted
